Citizen of France, alumnus of the College of Europe, Jean-Baptiste Buffet has a longstanding experience in urban governance, climate action and the implementation of the global development agendas at local level. Since 2009, Jean-Baptiste Buffet is the department of Global Policy and Advocacy at United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), the largest network organisation of cities and regions in the world. Previously, Jean-Baptiste worked for the European Commission in the area of political affairs. He then joined the Thomas More Institute, a European think-tank, as a research fellow specialized in urban Mediterranean issues.
