The 2nd World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability (Climate Week 2023) is an annual event where scientists, business experts, goverments professionals and stakeholders from various sectors discuss the diverse facets of climate change and its relationship to sustainability and global warming. In this sense, the Climate Week 2023 strives to go beyond science and build bridges between the state-of-the-art in multiple disciplines and different groups of stakeholders and practitioners. Climate Week 2023 aims to provide a platform for discussions on climate and sustainability societies, by creating a stimulating environment that produces innovative ideas and clear pathways towards their implementation. At this one of leading conference, learn about the most recent developments and issues in the areas related to climate change. Keynote sessions on a wide range of effects of climate change, climate policies, including clean energy policies, air quality measures, subsidy reform, smart agriculture and sustainable food systems, educational and civil society involvement, nature-based solutions, and others, will be held during the three-day scientific gathering.
The second World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability will provide an opportunity to focus attention on the opportunities, challenges and solutions towards achieving net zero emission and sustainable development worldwide. It will follow up on the first World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability, held in 2022 in Frankfurt, Germany and is expected to indicate a way forward to help achieve the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement on climate change in the Decade of Action.
Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time: a crosscutting, multidimensional threat multiplier. The most recent IPCC report confirms that climate change is now rapid, intensifying, and widespread. Given the urgency this moment requires, the President of the General Assembly will convene a high-level meeting on Delivering Climate Action – for People, for Planet & for Prosperity, focused on the gap between current and required technical and financial capacities to achieve the 1.5 degrees target and how that gap can be met, through showcasing best practices that simultaneously address climate action and the myriad structural challenges exacerbated by the pandemic. Expo 2020 represents an extraordinary opportunity for the attendees to engage millions of people and create lasting engagement, for action and impact.
For all these reasons, we expect to witness a high quality participation and greater discussion with the easing of border control measures throughout the world. See you at Rome, Italy!
