Jia-Zhong Zhang is a principal Investigator working at the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratories, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Miami, Florida, USA. He developed novel analytical techniques to quantify nutrient content in natural environments. He study the land source of plant nutrient (N, P, Si) input to the coastal waters and biogeochemical cycles of nutrient in coupled with carbon and oxygen in the ocean. He has published 80 scientific papers on nutrient biogeochemistry. He currently serves as an editorial board member for Scientific Reports.
